Between sign and surface, the project changes its outfit
Snyk & Lad by Erwan Bouroullec

SNIK, designed by Erwan Bouroullec, is born as an essential object, created to accompany a life in constant flux. Compact, resistant, and discreet, SNIK is built around a recycled technopolymer body with a steel structure, available with or without integrated armrests. A minimal presence designed to be almost ""worn"": natural, immediate, and a part of everyday life. The project is enhanced by a system of interchangeable covers, conceived as truly dynamic elements. More than mere accessories, these surfaces protect, transform, and adapt the chair to different contexts, seasons, and uses. Easy to apply, remove, and wash, they introduce an idea of practical versatility linked not only to style but to functionality. SNIK interprets the contemporary chair as an open object: no longer tied to a single space or a defined function, but capable of evolving over time. From indoor to outdoor, from domestic to contract use, it accompanies the transformations of daily life with lightness and intelligence. The LAD shelving system by Erwan Bouroullec is an open-ended project designed to transform the wall into a dynamic and personal space. Composed of shelves made from a combination of recycled technopolymer and wood finishes, and a wall-mounted supporting structure, LAD allows for multiple configurations, adapting freely to different needs and contexts. The system invites composition: aligning, expanding, interrupting, and creating rhythm. Each configuration becomes a design gesture, a way of ""drawing"" on the wall that reflects habits, needs, and identity. There is no single solution, but a potentially infinite variety of possibilities. LAD moves beyond the traditional idea of storage, embracing the complexity of contemporary life where functions and objects overlap. Books, objects, tools, and memories coexist in a fluid system designed to evolve over time. Essential in its construction and attentive to sustainability, the project uses simple elements that are easily assembled and disassembled. LAD is an invitation to experiment, to build and rebuild one’s own space with freedom.
