STRUTTURA.
Architecture supporting the harmony of form
Albert & Lillybet by L. Serafini + R. Palomba

LILLYBET by Ludovica Serafini + Roberto Palomba is a seat that rereads traditional decorative elements, transforming them into a contemporary sign. The project is born from the dialogue between memory and innovation: forms evoking a classic imagery are reinterpreted with lightness, giving life to an elegant and current presence. The structure is made of recycled technopolymer, an expression of Kartell's continuous research into materials. The project is characterized by its textile upholstery, designed to offer various aesthetic interpretations. Alongside the floral jacquard fabric—developed through the use of Artificial Intelligence to generate a rich and original pattern—the seat is also available in bouclé and velvet with contrasting piping, solutions that expand its material language and integration possibilities in interiors. The result is a chair that combines research, technology, and decorative sensitivity, opening new perspectives in the dialogue between tradition and contemporary design. With ALBERT, Ludovica Serafini + Roberto Palomba reread one of the most recognizable signs of classic furniture: the curved leg that characterized 18th-century French furniture, made famous by the master cabinetmaker André Charles Boulle. In this project, that historical trait is reinterpreted with a contemporary language, transforming into a fluid and elegant structure. The curvature of the legs is not a simple formal reference but becomes the structural principle of the table, defining its balance and character. The result is a light and dynamic presence, capable of combining design memory with industrial innovation. Made of aluminum, ALBERT is designed with a structural edge intended to accommodate different types of tops, offering great compositional freedom. In the color-block version, the table is completed by a large ceramic top with a super-glossy finish, which amplifies its material and visual strength. Thanks to the resistance of the materials and the build quality, ALBERT naturally adapts to both indoor and outdoor environments, expressing a balanced synthesis of formal elegance, versatility, and design research.
